Autodesk Flow Studio

Get free student access

A step-by-step guide to requesting Autodesk Flow Studio Education access, verifying your student status and opening the browser app.

Autodesk Flow Studio is available free to eligible post-secondary students aged 18 or older through the Autodesk Education plan. Follow the steps below to request access and start creating.

There is nothing to download or install. Flow Studio runs in your browser. The process below activates Education access on your Autodesk account.

1. Visit the student access page

Open the Autodesk Education products page and select Autodesk Flow Studio. If the page opens the full product list, find Flow Studio and choose its student plan.

2. Confirm the student plan

Check that the Subscription Summary shows the student Education plan. Confirm that you are enrolled at an eligible post-secondary institution and are at least 18 years old.

3. Sign in or create an Autodesk account

Sign in to your existing Autodesk account, or create one by following the instructions on screen. Use the same account throughout the request and when opening Flow Studio.

4. Enter your student information

Complete the eligibility form carefully. Use your full name as registered at your school, select the correct institution, and enter the other details requested. Your account and school documents should agree.

Use an email address you can access and follow any school email or sign-in prompts shown by Autodesk. A school email address alone does not prove eligibility, and Autodesk says it is not required for verification.

5. Submit your request

Review your information and the Subscription Summary, then submit the request. Follow Autodesk's current on-screen instructions if the wording or order of the screens differs from this guide.

6. Verify your student eligibility

You may be asked to upload supporting documentation or sign in through your school's Single Sign-On (SSO). Complete the verification steps shown. If documents are requested, follow Autodesk's requirements and use documents showing your name, institution and current enrolment.

7. Check your email

Autodesk will email you if it needs more information and when your eligibility is verified. Check your spam or junk folder as well as your inbox, and complete any remaining account setup steps.

8. Open Flow Studio

Once verified, open All Products and Services in your Autodesk Account. Find Flow Studio – Education and choose Access. You can also open flowstudio.autodesk.com while signed in to the same account.

9. Start creating

Start a new project or explore the tutorials. Flow Studio is cloud-based, so you do not need an installer, serial number or desktop activation step to open it.
