Nothing to install: troubleshoot missing Education access, verification requests and Autodesk Flow Studio account or licence problems.
Having trouble installing Flow Studio, finding your student licence or opening the Education plan? Start with the checks below.
Do I need to install Flow Studio?
No. Autodesk Flow Studio runs in your browser. Open flowstudio.autodesk.com and sign in with the Autodesk account used for your Education request. Autodesk lists Chrome and Safari as supported browsers and says Flow Studio is not yet optimised for mobile browsers.
If you have not requested student access yet, follow Get free student access first. Being able to sign in does not by itself confirm that Education access has been activated.
I can sign in, but I only see the Free plan
The standard Free plan and verified Education access are different. Check these steps:
- Confirm you are signed in with the same Autodesk account used for your student request.
- Check your email for an eligibility decision or a request for additional information.
- Return to the Education products page and complete any remaining Flow Studio selection or confirmation steps.
- Open All Products and Services in Autodesk Account and look for Flow Studio – Education.
If access is still missing, contact Autodesk Education support before purchasing a plan simply to resolve the problem. Include the account email, the exact message you see and a screenshot of the relevant plan or product screen.
My student verification is pending or was rejected
Follow the instructions in Autodesk's verification email or on-screen request. Check that your name and institution match your student records, and supply the requested evidence of current enrolment. A school email address alone is not proof of eligibility.
If you cannot find your institution or need help with verification, use Autodesk's Education account guidance and Education support. Autodesk and its verification provider handle eligibility decisions; The Rookies cannot approve or override them.
I sign in through my school, but Flow Studio is unavailable
If your institution manages your Autodesk access, ask your teacher or IT administrator to check whether Flow Studio has been assigned to you. Tell them that Flow Studio Education requires users to be post-secondary students aged 18 or older. Follow your school's account instructions.
My Education access has expired
Sign in to the Autodesk Education products page and follow the renewal instructions. Education access is renewable while you remain eligible; Autodesk may ask you to reconfirm your student status.
Flow Studio will not open or a project fails
Check Autodesk's browser support information and try a supported desktop browser. For product errors, consult the Flow Studio Help centre or contact Autodesk support with the error message, browser and steps that reproduce the issue.
I can use Flow Studio, but I cannot submit my entry
Entry creation and uploads are handled by The Rookies. Start with our contest submission guides or ask for help in The Rookies Discord. Share the error message and what you were trying to do. Send account or verification documents only through Autodesk's official process.
