What is the difference between a project and an entry?

Projects and entries are similar, but they are also very different. This article will clear up any confusion.

Projects

A project is a page that is used to share your artwork in your digital art portfolio. The project is a single page that can contain everything from images, videos, 3d viewers, code, text and more.

These projects appear on the main projects area of the platform. They will also appear on your own profile page for you to share with other members and the public too. A project could be:

  • as simple as a sketch you did and took a photo of.
  • a 3D scene you're playing with.
  • an animation or complete short film or game.
  • a series of updates showing what you are working on.

Entry

An entry is a page that contains your own personal work, but this page is specifically submitted to a contest.

Tip: Entries have a small trophy icon located top-left of the feature cards.

To create an entry:

  • find a contest you'd like to enter
  • read the contest description and select a category that interests you
  • located on the contest pages will be a Create Entry button

The process of creating an entry has a few more steps than simply creating a project. There is other documentation that can help you will these steps, or as always, just use the live-chat located bottom right of every page to talk to one of our team members.
