Step 3: Select Contests
Selecting the right categories and contest for your Rookie Awards entry is crucial to ensure your work is evaluated appropriately. While this step might seem overwhelming, it’s actually quite simple and just involves selecting the right checkboxes.
- Choose Relevant Contests: Select the contests that align with the category you’ve chosen for your entry. Refer to the Categories and Groups article to ensure you’re entering the right competition for your skills and career goals.
- Use Checkboxes to Select: Simply check the boxes next to the contests you want your entry to be considered for.
- Respect Submission Limits: Remember the entry limitations and guidelines to avoid selecting too many categories.

When selecting contests, you will notice that our system uses Smart Logic. This will disable some selections to ensure you only select categories you’re eligible for, preventing you from choosing more than allowed and helping you stay within the guidelines.
Once you’ve made your selections, click the Continue button located at the top right of the page. This will take you to the final step of the submission process, where you can review your entry and choose to save or submit it.
