FAQs for Educators and Schools
Does the size of our school or number of participants affect our ranking?
No, the size of your school or the number of participants does not unfairly influence rankings. We use a median score system to ensure fairness regardless of school size, along with a weighting algorithm that further reduces any bias.
Do we need to formally register our school to be included in the Global School Rankings?
No formal registration is required. To ensure your school is correctly represented, students simply need to update their profiles to include your school’s name accurately.
Can we share information about the Rookie Awards with our students and staff?
Yes! Share details via newsletters, announcements, or during class. We also offer live webinar sessions on Discord to engage your students, plus downloadable PDF posters you can print and display around campus to promote participation.
How can we celebrate our school’s achievements if we rank highly or win an award?
While we don’t send trophies automatically, schools and students can purchase them to commemorate their achievements. You’ll also receive digital badges and promotional assets to share your success.
What should we do if a student makes an error in their submission?
If submissions are still open, students can edit their pages directly. After submissions close, major content changes can’t be made, but students can still update the title, name, and description of their submission.
Is there a minimum number of students required to represent our school?
Yes, we require a minimum of 12 students per category to ensure fair representation in the rankings. This helps provide a broad and accurate view of your students’ collective performance.
Can educators or school administrators submit entries on behalf of students?
No, entries must be submitted directly by students. If we discover entries submitted by educators or administrators, they will be immediately deleted from the competition.
