Judge Types
At The Rookies, we have two different levels of involvement for judges across all contests. You can choose the role that best suits your expertise and availability.
Lead Judge
Lead Judges take on a broader and more substantial role by reviewing all entrants across all contest categories. Their primary responsibilities include:
- Shortlisting entries by scoring each entry in nominated category.
- Assisting with the selection of finalists by identifying standout entries.
- Participating in a scheduled meeting for guidance on scoring and judging best practices.
Lead Judges focus on filtering and organising entries rather than providing detailed reviews for each submission.
Finalist Judge
Finalist Judges participate after the Finalists have already been selected. Their responsibilities include:
- Scoring and reviewing all finalists within their assigned categories.
- Selecting their Top 5 entries based on the provided judging criteria.
Finalist Judges play a crucial role in determining the winners and recognising the very best submissions.
