FAQs
1. Can I use projects I’ve created before?
No, we want to see fresh, original ideas. The purpose of the Monthly Challenges is to inspire new creative work and push your skills.
2. Can I use existing third-party assets?
Yes, but you must clearly explain what you used and how. This ensures the judges can see and evaluate your contributions accurately. Transparency is key!
3. Can I use AI tools to help with my entry?
We allow the use of AI as a supportive tool, but there are strict guidelines:
- AI-generated content can be used for inspiration and development, such as idea generation or reference material.
- Entries must predominantly be your own work. Direct uploads of AI-generated content or projects where AI was a major contributor to the final execution are not permitted.
- Clearly disclose how AI was used in your submission.
4. Can I collaborate with another artist?
No, Monthly Challenges are individual competitions. Each entry must be the sole work of the participant.
5. Can I enter a project that’s also being submitted to another contest?
No, all entries must be created specifically for the Monthly Challenge and not submitted elsewhere.
6. Do I have to follow the theme exactly, or can I interpret it loosely?
Themes are intentionally broad to encourage creativity. You can interpret the theme in your own unique way, but your entry should still connect to the theme in a meaningful and recognisable manner.
7. Are work-in-progress updates mandatory?
No, but they’re highly encouraged. Sharing your process shows the judges your creative journey and helps the community connect with your work.
8. What happens if I need to edit my submission after uploading?
You can make edits to your entry until the submission deadline. After the deadline, your entry is locked and cannot be modified.
9. Is there a limit to the tools or software I can use?
No, you can use any tools or software as long as the final result aligns with the theme and meets the submission requirements.
10. What should I do if I miss the deadline?
Unfortunately, late entries cannot be included in the judging process. However, you’re welcome to share your project on your profile to receive feedback and recognition from the community.
