Institutions ranked in the Rookies Global School Rankings® receive official digital badges in recognition of their performance. These badges are protected under licensing terms to ensure the integrity of the program and to prevent unauthorised use.

This page outlines the terms and conditions for displaying and linking to your official badge.

1. License and Ownership

The Rookies Global School Rankings® badge is the intellectual property of The Rookies. Usage is granted under a limited, non-transferable license to verified institutions included in the current year’s rankings.

By displaying the badge, schools agree to comply with all usage terms outlined in this document.

2. Approved Use (Ranked Institutions Only)

Institutions included in the official rankings may

  • Display the badge on official websites, digital brochures, email footers, presentations, and social media platforms
  • Include the badge in marketing, communications, and student recruitment materials
  • Link the badge to either
  • Use the badge exactly as provided, without any modifications

3. Prohibited Use

The following uses are strictly prohibited

  • Use by any institution not included in the current year’s Global School Rankings
  • Altering, redrawing, recolouring, cropping, or modifying the badge in any way
  • Displaying the badge without a working link to The Rookies website
  • Using the badge to suggest endorsement, certification, partnership, or any affiliation beyond the verified ranking
  • Sharing or sub-licensing the badge with third parties, partners, or affiliate campuses

4. Misuse and Enforcement

The Rookies reserves the right to take action against unauthorised or incorrect use of the badge. This may include

  • Direct takedown requests to the violating institution or hosting platform
  • Disqualification or delisting from current or future rankings
  • Legal enforcement in cases of persistent or commercial misuse

5. Access to Badge Files

Ranked institutions can access official badge files via a request to our support team. Badge packs include formats suitable for web and print (PNG, SVG)

6. Third-Party Usage and Permissions

The Rookies does not permit unauthorised use of Rookies Global School Rankings® badges or related branding by third-party organisations.

However, certain platforms may request permission to share the rankings or badges if the following conditions are met:

  • A formal request for permission must be submitted to our support team, including details of the intended use, audience, and publication platform.
  • Approved third-party use must include clear attribution, with a visible statement such as

• The badge must not be altered in any way and must not be used to imply partnership, certification, or endorsement unless formally agreed in writing

Permission is granted on a case-by-case basis and may be revoked at any time. Failure to comply with these terms may result in legal action and public delisting of associated schools or organisations.
